Christian Casolary is a drummer, composer, and music educator living in Bellingham, WA.
Inspired by the lineage of Jazz masters, Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett, John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, Elvin Jones, Jack Dejohnette, etc., his playing is steeped in expression, sensitivity, and creativity. Always pushing his technical and musical limits, Christian's drumming aims to break the bonds of what's expected and enter the realm of possibility.
Christian is currently involved in several projects, including the Thomas Harris Quartet, Roger Yamashita Trio, and the Christian Casolary Trio.
He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Western Washington University, where he later served as a Jazz Instructor. Christian currently works as an applied instructor for drum set at Whatcom Community College and accompanies contemporary dance courses at Western Washington University.
